i think the reason that threads is showing growth is because the growth is mostly fake. i had an account on threads that did RIDICULOUS numbers - I would regularly get 50K likes on posts! it was visibly inorganic and fake. I didn't fall for it, and deleted my account

I think the simplest explanation is there are 300 million ppl every month who accidentally clicked on a "recommended" Threads post appeared in Instagram or Facebook Disclosure: I accidentally do that at least twice a month
