it’s become so normal for people to disclose their rapes to appeal to people’s humanity around rape cases that we don’t think about how disgusting the need to do that is put the worst moment of your life out for public consumption, so that half the comments can call you a liar.

Illustration of a Coppersmith Barbet, a large-headed, large-billed bird with a clown-like face pattern of red, black, and yellow. The bird otherwise is mostly green with spots of turquoise on the nape and wings. It is perched with its back to us on the branch of a fig tree, and has a piece of fig fruit in its beak - likely torn from the broken fruit on the top of a cluster to the bird's right.

Wow! Schmitt didn’t just get it wrong, his team was warned the texts were unvetted, but he used them anyway. Not only that, Chuck Grassley’s Judiciary staff left the texts out of its own hearing memo. Schmitt’s team went digging for them, then used them to accuse Jack Smith of perjury.

Banning alcohol in Greek houses would go a long way in reducing rapes on campus. All sororities are dry, and have sober monitors to watch out for sisters at frat parties, because they know that's where the danger lies. It's time to take the booze out of the frat houses, and all Greek events.

The smallest bat in North America is the canyon bat (Parastrellus hesperus), also called the western pipistrelle or American parastrelle. They weigh about 3–6 grams, the weight of a US penny, sheet of paper, or teaspoon of sugar. In flight, they're sometimes confused for moths or butterflies.
A tiny smoke-grey furry bat with darker face, ears and wings. The big story is the tiny size. The entire bat fits on a portion of a human's thumb, a tee-weeny tiny little guy.

This is a viral photo that's circulated for years, but I found it on r/BatFacts posted by u/Pardusco.
