If it's any comfort, ChatGPT is shit at solving cryptic crosswords It mostly just offers a synonym for one of the words in the clue It's probably less useful than standard solver sites like oneacross #ChatGPT #AI #CrypticCrosswords

We know how to teach books in the age of AI: small classes, close reading, research-engaged learning (which is how you ’let students see you struggle’). The issue is nobody will hire and pay the requisite # of faculty to offer this.
