I'm ok with DMs from real people. An introductory message like "how was your day" may sound polite but it sounds like a bot. It indicates the sender didn't read any post of mine. Some bots "read" posts but parroting identifies a bot as well. Leave a human thought.

"Parallel imports". They come from legit Canadian pharmacies and require legit prescriptions. You order them & import them individually, perfectly legally. In my experience they're 10% to 30% the cost of US-sold AFTER insurance, often same brands, same factories.

It's been 2 years since Hurricane Helene passed through western NC. 107 were reported dead in North Carolina. Another 5 are "missing". But there were people in the mountain backwoods that were never counted because nobody else knew where they lived or that they even existed. Some may have perished.

A year ago I needed a drug which was $3000 in the US, $1000 after "insurance coverage". I tried ordering from a Canadian pharmacy. It took a few weeks to arrive from Asia, from the same mfr, same factory. $113, including shipping & 15% tariff. Now MAGAts are going to outlaw personal importation. 🤬

FB says I posted this 16 years ago. It was me, 1982, sailing a Sunfish, before a thunderstorm zoomed in. I didn't look calm a few minutes later. After little wind for 2½ hours it started blowing maybe 15mph. I pulled the centerboard and we hit the sand fast enough that the whole thing came ashore.

Fuel prices are at an all-time high. MAGAts will try to beat them down temporarily in about 5 weeks. Strategic Petroleum Reserve is controlled by DoE (MAGAts). At max draw rates, it can provide roughly 13% of US daily consumption. Prices are inelastic, so that can lower them dramatically.
