Interesting--I wonder how broadly this destablization followed by stabilization stage is in traffic--does this happen with other AP traffic? What about things like retromer? We had some evidence that Ent5 clathrin binding was acting late in coat assembly, wonder if it is doing something similar.

Looking at molecular densities of membranes and protein complexes is the most direct way to learn about membrane trafficking. @dr-downes.bsky.social and the Giulia Zanetti team showed the organisation of E exit sites. These hot spots handle virtually all transmembrane proteins in the cell.
