🚨PREPRINT ALERT How different are males and females? In physiology we mostly treat that as a fixed property of a species, something to control for. In mice, we found it is not fixed at all. It depends on what the animal ate while growing up.

No true scientist will outsource the fun of the creative process to a machine. We must focus on finding and eradicating the science operators who will stop at nothing to get more recognition & power. The impostors can be identified. We need to rely more on the good old human interactions.

I agree with this. TBH I find this pretty bleak. It might only be an imaging competition, not a Nature paper or a grant, but people who use AI to supercharge their way past honest scientists doing real work... and then collecting the spoils... and getting endorsed for doing so.... well, it sucks.

God that is so bad. Nuclei tend to be bigger... the freaking genome needs to fit in there. Post-processing... my a.. what a clusterf... If there isn't a course correction soon, the credibility of the competition is gone. And that would be a pity.

just considering the beat frequency of airway cilia (10-20 Hz), any contrastive timelapse should run on the scale of seconds, in which case basal cell/tissue movement should be imperceptible (minutes to hours)
