Find this sort of thing fascinating because if any of these things did exist it would violate all natural laws, The Standard Model, and everything we know scientifically about the nature of reality.

It's embarrassing for Silicon Valley that this has to even be said. But it does. I'm also embarrassed for them that they can't grasp the human mind and its extension, human society, are indivisible. You can't separate intelligence from who and what we are.

Suella Braverman selling 106 copies of her book after all that publicity is so delicious.
Crack 'em while you can, though, because Suella's star might just be on the skids. Despite plugging her book on Question Time, on Tim Shipman's Spectator podcast, in serialised excerpts in the Daily Mail, and in a fawning interview with Allison Pearson in the Telegraph, in its opening weekend, Patriot sold precisely 106 copies.

It would seem the Home Office has now acquired the ability to impose, without visibility or accountability, shadow bans on students coming to British universities from particular countries. How? Because of the interaction between indiv visa decisions (made by HO alone) and visa rules for unis 1/?

A new Handbook of Evolutionary Psychology has just been published, in which it is claimed that the human species is polytypic: not only is race biologically meaningful but the races are distinct enough to be considered subspecies. Published by Elgar. In 2026.
Chapters in Part III take stock of the current state of evolutionary psychology, by casting wider attention to other social and behavioral sciences and assessing the field's influence on them. In Chapter 11 ('Evolutionary psychology and anthropology'), Heiner Rindermann identifies three major forces that oppose scientific anthropology: Religion, National Socialism ('Nazism'), and woke leftist ideology. Ironically, in this sense, woke left ideologues, who include most anthropologists themselves, geneticists, and other university academics, share much in common with the Nazis in their common opposition to scientific anthropology.
Rindermann's extensive review of the literature leaves no doubt that humans are genetically polytypic and contain different biological races or 'subspecies' At the end of the chapter, Rindermann delivers devastating rebuttals to all potential arguments against the notion of races/subspecies among humans.

The ability to pour hundreds of millions of pounds into a loss-making TV channel, bent on wrenching British politics sharply to the right, is yet another of the ways in which extreme wealth is trying to remake UK democracy. It needs to be part of any serious conversation about political funding.

Beautiful vintage #infographic on the ceiling & speed of different aircraft (via Reddit bit.ly/4c2bMCs)
Vintage infographic titled "Service ceiling (ft)" plots the service ceiling (maximum altitude) of various aircraft against their maximum speed in miles per hour. The data spans from 1916 to 1963, covering biplanes, monoplanes, and jet aircraft. The trend shows a steady increase in both speed and altitude over time as aviation technology advanced.

Tweet from @serene_ necrosis (the Irish American lady who wears a secular hijab-inspired accessory and told the Massachusetts covid conscious lesbian bar that she hoped someone firebombed them for making masks optional one night a week)

Nurses are to disabled people what cops are to black people, and if you're black and disabled at the same time, you're basically screwed, and according to disability scholars racism is socially disabling, so there's no such thing as a non-disabled black person.
