One of the few joys of my job was nipping over to Adobe Stock to grab an image. It was fun looking through examples of people's creativity, and finding something to fit my brief. Of course, now it's full of AI slop. Ffs Adobe, is there ANYTHING that you haven't thoroughly fucked?

All cinemas should have a break to allow patrons to buy an ice cream and stretch their legs every 45 minutes. That's the ideal time as it's half way through a good movie. Admittedly, many movies are now twice as long and half as good. But more ice cream, so still a good idea.

Teflon pans will hopefully go away, just like asbestos and leaded petrol did. But they really aren't necessary. It's not hard to cook delicate foods like eggs or plaice on a stainless steel pan without sticking. It's a skill issue, not technology. Teach children to cook, please.

Councils should have staff who just go around and sort out minor problems they see. Bag of rubbish - collect it. Street sign a bit wonky - straighten it. Overgrown weeds - pull them. All those small jobs. They're the things that make a place better to live if they're resolved.

One of the stupidest things we do as a species is produce billions of plastic bottles to hold water, when it would make more sense to invest in systems which provide safe tap water. Even in the UK where tap water is clean, we sell bottled water. Ban it.
