For reasons known only to myself, I was thinking about The Bravery tonight and their one big hit Honest Mistake. They still have 1.2m monthly listeners on Spotify and that song in particular has 95m+ streams. I am clearly not alone in liking that sub-Killers electro-indie-pop drama fest.

I am excited to announce that I have my own show on @cloudbusterradio.bsky.social! Heavy Is The Heart will be on Thursdays between 22:00-00:00, during the Metal Night with the first night tomorrow! (01/10/26). Playing a mix of heavy music while showcasing a specific genre, this week is Nu-Metal!
A picture of a cartoon Badger arm and paw, with long, spiky claws, holding a cartoon heart that's wrapped in a chain.

To the left of the arm is a logo that says Heavy is the Heart.

the word Heavy is in a spiky font, similar to fonts often used in extreme metal band logos, is the is written in a plain font on a scroll background and Heart is written in a red font that looks like cartoon veins/balloon writing.

On the top right hand corner is a logo for CloudBuster Radio, Cloud buster is written in a white and orange, rounded font, on a background of white clouds with sun rays pushing through the top, middle of the logo.

The background is a light purple fading to dark purple from top to bottom, with white stars, softly scattered all over.

I just saw a post from some guy saying that traditional music is “over” because AI music will provide “infinite personalised songs”. I want music that reflects the misshapen thoughts of another human being, not the output of an algorithmic average.

And you’re *sure* they’re patsy proxies for Iran and not, you know, fuel thieves.
Laurence Taylor, the national head of counterterrorism, said on Tuesday night: “Those vehicles have been subject to extensive examination, with the support of military assets and forensic experts, and we can confirm that no improvised explosive devices were found. However, a quantity of petrol was recovered.”

Much of the electorate has no memory at all of the politics of that era. They do have sharp memories of what we have had recently. And many conclude anything might be better.

Text from a Times story on the Fairford incident:

The vans contained barrels and were marked with a fake logo and phone number so they gave the impression, wrongly, of being owned by a legitimate fuel transit company. It sparked speculation about whether the men were fuel thieves.
