It's remarkable to watch people on the left launch with gusto into a campaign to delegitimise and undermine trade unions, using lawfare and relentless media attacks, because they've been persuaded that hating trans people should be their top priority. The right must be rubbing their hands with glee.

With thanks to She Who Is Not Called Mrs Coates for spotting that Of course, it prompted me to look up the man who is completely hatstand
Roger gets a job as a waiter at the Hotel de Posh, arrives in swimming trunks, dances on a table, and crawls across the floor with a woman’s handbag on his head as he tries to solve a non-existent mystery, and snatches the weapon (an electric carving knife) off one man, succeeding only in decapitating another

If you earned £10,000 a day it would take you 273.8 years to reach a billion. 273.8 YEARS! With no days off and no outgoings. But sure, yeah, let’s not ask the super rich for anymore and keep that cost of living going up to prop this entire shitshow up.

One of my favorite cases of someone being Wrong on the Internet was a very earnest, very confused vegan who was telling people how cruel honey is; and it eventually turned out they thought honey was made by putting bees in a centrifuge and spinning them around until they threw up.

1/23 Sorry, this will be long... There is a lot of shouting about what happened in the Channel yesterday. So I want to go back to basic law. Not immigration policies or political rhetoric. At sea, the starting point is simple: Preservation of life comes first under all maritime conventions.

Lots of talk of growth ahead of the Budget, as if it were a baroque puzzle. Our problem is basic. It's that we no longer support the things which facilitate growth: Europe, immigration, higher education, tax simplification, policy stability. These are all choices and could stop making them anytime.

The atmosphere just hit a new water-vapour record: 27.35 kg of water vapour per m2 in August 2026, ~20 trillion litres more water than the previous record. Warmer air holds ~7% more moisture per °C. More water vapour means more energy to fuel extreme weather.

The Viz comic’s “Benjamin Britten and his embittered bittern”. Sorry, it’s a 22-panel comic with a lot of text, so I’m afraid that’s all you’re getting. But I hope you get the idea.

Gilbert accidentally makes his animatronic vegetable cheerleaders hold up their letter signs in the wrong order so that they spell out the words "YOU PATHETIC NEEDY CUNT", to the dismay of Elon Musk.

It's very easy to wear a suit and tie in any major city, even if the aesthetic has mostly disappeared from daily life, because there are people outside wearing pink tutus with Army boots. As usual, your liberation is connected to other people's liberation.
Bobby Mars on Twitter writes: "If you wear a collared shirt and nice shoes out to the bar in the rust belt, multiple people will ask you if you just came from a wedding. Aesthetic standards for men’s attire are horrendously low"

A large group of medieval knights ride in formation on horseback through an open field. The leader of the pack warns the group of a log in their path as his horse jumps over the obstacle. “Log,” he yells. This starts a chain of “logs” as each rider yells “log” so everyone is aware of the log. Their strong communication and teamwork likely results in all of the riders avoiding the log safely. Artist’s note: simple yet sloppy line work and elite composition make this piece a core work in pants art history.
