People are dunking on this because in the usual case, this would be someone paying into the system without taking a benefit. But that's not what conservatives are saying They are saying insurers have phantom enrollees for zero-cost (to the insured) plans for which they receive a government subsidy

I don't think that people who are neurotypical and free from stigmatised compulsive behaviours have any idea how lucky they are. The world is built around them. but it is not exclusively theirs and other sorts of people have a right to exist in it too, and be treated with kindness.

Local opposition is the #1 threat to your project pipeline.
Permitting battles. Zoning moratoriums. Unruly county board meetings. Grid expansion is moving fast — but local resistance is moving faster. Developers, investors, and advocates are losing projects not because of bad economics, but because of bad local intelligence.

Heatmap Pro was built to fix that.
Heatmap Pro is the premier intelligence platform for community-supported development. In every academic book there is a secret second book hiding in the footnotes. Sometimes it is the first draft that had migrated there to escape the revisions. Sometimes it is the author's tortured secret rebuttal of their own claims, and sometimes it is the incipient form of the their next book.

Not pictured: Haruki Murakami’s wife, or indeed whoever is cooking, cleaning, paying bills, running errands, doing the laundry, answering emails, etc like yea his routine is goals, but let’s not lie to ourselves about all the invisible work others are doing to enable him to have that routine
quote from Haruki Murakami: “I keep to this routine every day without variation. The repetition itself becomes the important thing; it’s a form of mesmerism. I mesmerize myself to reach a deeper state of mind.

“But to hold to such repetition for so long—six months to a year—requires a good amount of mental and physical strength. In that sense, writing a long novel is like survival training. Physical strength is as necessary as artistic sensitivity.”

The approximately $150 million at play here (Kelly’s $50 million buyout, maybe $100 million salary for Kiffin) could easily fund several academic departments for the next 10+ years. Of course, LSU — the “U” actually stands for “university” — is cutting programs and freezing academic hires.

I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.
