It's unseasonably hot in Gaza today as it is in parts of the UK, but by the end of this month the autumn storms will begin. Samaa needs to fortify the ruin she lives in to keep its walls from being torn away by the force of the wind. Can you help her buy materials? chuffed.org/project/157569 🍉 #Gaza

In Gaza even those who have access to a reliable water supply get only as much as they can carry, so even young kids have to help. The containers are heavy and the queues are long. "This is not a life a child should have to live. Please help us," says Waseem. gofund.me/35fdca7d 🍉 #Gaza 🇵🇸 💧

I realise why there's a lot of upset about the English Greens' decision to pass its motion on Zionism yesterday. I think it was a mistake, but here's the thing: it was _a_ mistake, and in light of how other parties are screwing up, I think we need to keep things in proportion. Bear with me on this.

One of the things that people in Gaza are really scared of, beyond the horrors of day to day life, is that they'll disappear from the world and from people's memories. Genocide is much easier when no-one is looking. Please keep talking about them, and donate if you can. 🍉 #Gaza

Ahmad was always close to his mother, and when the war began he became her protector. Her health declined sharply because she could no longer get her diabetes medication, and she suffered serious eye damage. Now he needs your help to keep supporting her. chuffed.org/project/157281 🍉 #Gaza

Omar is still suffering from dyssentry, which means that most of what he eats and drinks goes straight through him, and there isn't enough of it to begin with. Don't get us wrong. Ukrainians are not being offered peace. We will either fight to remain free on our own land — or, if conquered by Moscow, be forced to fight its imperial wars against other free nations. That is the choice russia is generously offering. Not war or peace.

Waseem is trying to establish a steady pattern of fundraising so that he can reliably manage expenses and there will be no more days when he is suddenly unable to feed his children. If you can't give much, a small weekly donation is a practical choice because it helps to create stability. 🍉 #Gaza

I find myself at more and more supposed inclusivity events where people assert that we're all culpable where social problems are concerned because we're not spending enough time talking to one another in person, and seem completely oblivious to how exclusionary that attitude is. <sigh>

It's harder and harder to get enough money to survive in Gaza. Most people can't find any kind of paid work, and donations are still decreasing. For Samaa, with two children to support, it's very worrying. If you want to help, a small regular donation provides some security and confidence. 🍉 #Gaza

This kind of thing is infuriating and it is constant. PIP is an in-work benefit designed to cover the extra costs related to disability (and for most people it's desperately inadequate). Many people are only able to work because of the equipment, transport etc. that PIP makes available to them.
