Congrats to Matthew Golder on being named a 2026 #SloanFellow! The work of the Golder Research Team addresses the "plastics problem" and the two-year fellowship can be used flexibly to advance this work! ♻️🎉 golderresearchteam.org

Excited to see Jonesy (Dr. Alisha Jones) featured as Biophysicist in Profile in the Biophysical Society Bulletin (biophysics.cld.bz/Biophysical-...) “It was during graduate school [at @uwchemistry.bsky.social !] that she found her true calling in RNA structural biology” Go, UW Chemistry & alums!
The image is a screenshot of the top of the page at the following website: https://biophysics.cld.bz/Biophysical-Society-Bulletin-November-2025/2/

This page is a profile of the scientist Alisha Jones. There is a photo of her, and she is smiling.

In brief, the page contains a heading that says "Alicia Jones". Her area of research is RNA structural biology, biophysical chemistry, and chemical biology.

A short paragraph follows that begins: "Alisha Jones, Assistant Professor of Chemistry at New York University, has pioneered new approaches in RNA structural biology..."

For Prof. Ashleigh Theberge and her interdisciplinary research group, fundamental scientific observations become tools that improve everyday life. With support from @packardfdn.bsky.social, her team is able to take creative risks and translate basic research into real-world impact.

Hey UW Colleagues! Want an easy way to help our community (and a way to get kid stuff like board books and infant car seats out of your house) @uwchemistry.bsky.social has big collection bins for food to the UW Food Pantry, for warm clothes to Aurora Commons, and for kid stuff to Westside Baby
The image is a photo of three big boxes outside the door of the main office of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington. The boxes are covered in purple and gold paper. The box on the left has a sign for Westside Baby, the box in the middle has a sign for a food drive, and the box on the right has a sign for Aurora Commons. You can't see inside the boxes, but there's TONS of room inside for us all to donate things! I know because when I put my own items inside to donate, my contributions suddenly seemed so small.

Excited to share the latest issue of Nautilus, created in partnership with Schmidt Sciences, which profiles just a handful of the many scientists we support in their pursuit of discovery. www.schmidtsciences.org/wp-content/u...
