While doing so, they interact with an incredible variety of other molecules and supramolecular structures—things that touch the membrane on either side, are embedded inside, or simply want to get through. In this webinar we will hear from three scientists who have examined questions of this kind from different directions, focusing on different molecules, and using different tools.

Good ideas in this thread for any conference organizers out there... Some of my favorite swag has been umbrellas and calendars (big ones, with lots of writing space). About half the T-shirts I own are from conferences, and they can be great if they are not entirely unisex (read: men’s) size large

The 2026 Frontiers in Biophysics was lovely. On Friday, I rented a UW van and drove 6 students to Canada & back. For local scientists, FiB is a low-cost way to help students network, especially since many international scientists won't (or can't) attend US conferences now. See you at FiB next year?
