Top of the fucking league. And pissed.

#SWFC are top of the league after another gritty, battling away win. At times last season, I thought we’d end up as a phoenix club in some regional league, so I’ll take it. Our new chairman and our manager deserve all the credit they’re getting tonight.

I read very little fiction, yet Everything Will Swallow You got under my skin in a big way, as did 1983. I can’t wait for Curious Events Lately Occurring In This Neighbourhood to do the same, as my copy arrived yesterday.

When they do the line-ups at the World Cup and the players either fold their arms or point to the badge, it’s very dull. One of them could do something more interesting like produce a bunch of flowers from behind their back to liven things up. #WorldCup26

CHRISTMAS BEER:

And you are…?

CHRISTMAS BEER:

CHRISTMAS BEER:
I am Brown Christmas Liquid.

I come back each year.

CHRISTMAS BEER:
Every time with a new name, and a new horrible ingredient.

Last year I was Reindeer Stomper. This year I am... Cheeky Elf.

PERONI:
Oh god

You were on the bar for two months and…

CHRISTMAS BEER:
Three pints sold, aye.

7
CHRISTMAS BEER:
I’m a seasonal blend of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, orange peel, nutmeg and this year, for reasons of late-capitalist sadism, vanilla.

8
CHRISTMAS BEER:
My name is Cheeky Elf,

I taste of jam,

and I want to d*e.

PERONI:
Well somebody’s trying you

CHRISTMAS BEER:
Poor bastard

I wrote a lovely poem about the good old days, to go with the nice pink one off Facebook that's quoted below.
The Good Old Days

Tuberculosis, ricketts
Polio and smog
He kicked the wife for five days
On weekends kicked the dog
The choir boys were fiddled with
The priest put round the plate
And then those lads went off to war
And mental health was great.
My gran made broth with only bone
She couldn't afford cheese
And several of her kids died
From preventable disease
Wasn't allowed a bank account
Couldn't get a job
Tuberculosis, ricketts
Polio and smog.

A letter from STANLEY KUBRICK

James T. Aubrey, Jr.
Metro Goldwyn Mayer
245N Beverly Drive
Beverly Hills, CA 90210
Dear James,
It has come to my attention that you and your
studio are considering producing a sequel to "2001:
A Space Odyssey" over my objections. My attorney informs me that you hold the option and, legally. there is little I can do to stop you.
However, I'd like you to know that I own the tapir bone prop from 2001 - the one "Moonwatcher" throws into the sky. If you attempt to make a sequel, I will cram that temur up your ass so far, it will take an as yet undiscovered alien super-intelligence to figure out how to dislodge it. Seriously, don't fuck with me.
Best regards,
Stanley Kubrick
