One obvious problem here is that both sides are led by bullies who believe the only time anyone would ever make a concession is if they were weak. Yes, but there's a key difference. Biden needed Republican support in the Senate (and to a lesser extent, House) to pass his legislative agenda. Burnham has a huge majority in Parliament and the House of Lords can't stop him the way a Senate filibuster can. He could do both but he's vibing.
