Semi regular reminder that there are a bazillion jobs outside of higher ed that require phd-level social science research skills (and yes, poli sci specific skills, too), so the hand wringing about the "overproduction" of phds is odd, to say the least.

Lots of DISCOURSE about how unpopular "woke 1" was right now, and lots of chatter about it helping Trump in 2024. But as I recall, YouGov and others released a lot of survey data early in Trump's second term showing that DEI and adjacent stuff was pretty popular.

Gender isn't binary, except for the two (2) shows about soccer. The boy show (Ted Lasso) is about what happens when boys play soccer (crying), and the girl show (Yellowjackets) is about what happens when girls play soccer (murder). Both shows are accurate.
