Okay, George Lucas remains a schmuck but his wife is pure class. She made him make the museum souvenirs and food cheap so that schoolchildren without much money can still have a good day, because she says she remembers how bad it felt to go on expensive field trips. It DOES.

Lichtenstein’s entire oeuvre was offensively shallow and profit-motivated from the jump. His original premise of recontextualizing “low art” was done better, earlier, and with way more joyful subversiveness by Marcel Duchamp, AND he lacked the skill to even render the work he supposedly “elevated.”
