This revealed that while clathrin-mediated endocytosis is highly selective towards protein cargo, it is largely non-selective for all the lipids tested in this study. If that’s for you, check it out! (we also added a lot of cool new datasets since the bioRxiv upload 😉: bsky.app/profile/nadl...).

UPDATE!: I am absolutely stoked that the second paper of my PhD is now out in @natcellbio.nature.com :D. We combined lipid imaging, STED microscopy, and mathematical modelling in a super cool team effort to quantify lipid partitioning inside clathrin-coated pits. www.nature.com/articles/s41....

It’s incredibly hard to study lipids in biological membranes on the nanoscale. You need near-perfect information on both membrane ultrastructure and lipid density, which usually isn’t attainable. Lipid-CLEM brought to you by @mathilda95.bsky.social changes that. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
