My YIMBY take: Every trans 18 year old who is stuck living w unsupportive family should be able to afford an apartment in a vibrant urban space w transit on a min wage job. (+raise the min wage). Build so much housing that that is the norm. Same for others stuck in bad situations

Trump refused to pay for SNAP benefits during the federal shutdown last year, cutting off food assistance for 750,000 Oregonians. I declared a hunger emergency, and @danrayfield.bsky.social and I took him to court and won. Benefits were back in people’s hands that night.

I’m obsessed! Been riding my bike to work every day, to all my canvasses! My best friend since 7th grade got an e bike through PCEF and when we hang out we ride our bikes and talk for like 3 hours. It makes us feel like little kids, it’s so fun!!

Alll of this. I started my career in construction, working office jobs alongside people who worked trades. Know how many 60-year-old guys I saw working as bricklayers? Doing demo? Zero.
