Trump refused to pay for SNAP benefits during the federal shutdown last year, cutting off food assistance for 750,000 Oregonians. I declared a hunger emergency, and @danrayfield.bsky.social and I took him to court and won. Benefits were back in people’s hands that night.

Thank you to the Willamette View Retirement Community for giving me the chance to share my vision for Oregon’s future at your Meet the Candidates Forum. There’s a lot at stake in this November’s election, and I’m ready to keep fighting for the state that we love — together.

President Trump and Christine Drazan are fighting to defund the Oregon Health Plan, which covers a third of Oregonians and half the kids in our state. If they succeed, that will drive up costs for all of us.

As your Governor, I will work to make sure our state gets what it needs – and I will never get rolled over by an administration that wants to hurt our state. But Christine Drazan has shown that when it’s most important to stand up for our state, she will stay silent.

Oregon votes by mail, and the Trump administration is trying to make it harder for us to get ballots to voters through the U.S. Postal Service. But we’re fighting back every single day to protect your right to vote.

The POWER Act was passed the year before the election, Senator Drazan, and it’s no gimmick: it’s lowering power costs for families and small businesses. Maybe you should have voted for it.

Christine Drazan wants tax breaks for the very wealthy while everyday Oregonians foot the bill. I believe very wealthy people and big corporations should pay their fair share so every Oregonian’s life can be better.

I cut red tape so Oregon could build faster, helping boost housing starts faster than most of the nation. Christine Drazan voted eleven times against renter protections, four times against affordable housing funding, and twice against building more housing.

The POWER Act stops data centers from passing their energy costs on to you. I signed it. My MAGA opponent, Christine Drazan, voted against it. Since then, rates are down for Oregon families and up for data centers, all thanks to our work on the POWER Act.

Christine Drazan has consistently aligned herself with Donald Trump on putting polluters ahead of our environment. Her policies will worsen Oregonians’ health, skyrocket utility bills for working Oregonians, and put Oregon’s climate goals out of reach.
Graphic with a black textured background. Large white and red headline reads, “TRUMP RECKLESSLY ROLLS BACK CLIMATE PROTECTIONS, DRAZAN WILL FOLLOW SUIT,” with red underlining beneath. Below is a white quote criticizing Christine Drazan’s climate policies and attributing the statement to Lindsey Scholten, OLCV Executive Director. At the bottom, a large photo shows Christine Drazan in the foreground, with an inset circular photo of Donald Trump behind her.

Oregonians have voted by mail for almost 30 years. It’s safe, it’s convenient, and it’s trusted. My opponent, Christine Drazan, sponsored a bill to end it, following right in Donald Trump’s footsteps. As long as I’m governor, I will always protect your right to vote.

Health care shouldn’t be a bargaining chip, but that’s exactly how Christine Drazan treated it when she voted against protecting Oregonians from Trump’s Medicaid cuts. I’m fighting to make sure over a million Oregonians can count on the health care they need.

When a company wanted state land in Salem for a data center, I said no. That’s part of why I’m pushing a statewide pause on new data center construction until Oregonians are protected from higher utility bills. My MAGA opponent, Christine Drazan, has opposed that accountability at every step.
