"By using AI, tasks like essays that used to take hours can be completed in minutes!" Sure, like how if I arrive at the gym and immediately go for a shower, my workout is done in record time. And if I throw my sandwiches straight in the bin, I can finish my lunch in under 10 seconds.

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

7 panel comic.

Panel 1:
A Red Guy with AI across his chest looks like he’s about to run away. A Yellow Guy stands next to him. Red Guy says “I’m the future, buddy. You comin’?”
Yellow Guy replies “Nah”

Panel 2:
Red Guy is almost out of the panel. He leans in and says “Enjoy getting left behind, pal”
Yellow Guy replies “ok”

Panel 3:
Yellow Guy stands alone.

Panel 4:
Close up on Yellow Guy, there is a quiet “huff-huff-huff” noise coming from behind him

Panel 5:
Yellow Guy turns to look behind him

Panel 6:
Close up on Yellow Guy’s face as if from the point of view of an attacker.
Yellow Guy yells “Jesus Christ”

Panel 7:
AI Red Guy is now chasing the Yellow Guy.
Red Guy: “Use me”
Yellow Guy “No”
Red Guy “USE ME”

Most importantly: no writers from the previous versions of the show. Dr Who should be a place for new writers to get TV experience.

Please don't accuse men who read books on public transport of performative reading. Except maybe this guy...
A suited man standing in the central aisle of a crowded train carriage holding a book (called 'How Rome Fell') up in front of his face so that the whole carriage definitely knows he's reading a book called 'How Rome Fell' on the train, and his pose and general demeanour really adds to the whole scene in a way that's hard to pin down but very obvious

Comparing coverage of the Belfast and Edinburgh attacks, it seems that if politicians politicise and racialise a crime, then it will get far more attention than a crime that is in itself political and racist but doesn’t serve a political agenda. That’s not a good message

Today, we remember Jo Cox, who was murdered ten years ago. In her maiden speech, Jo famously said: “We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.” Ten years on, those words are a powerful reminder to us all: We have far more in common than that which divides us.

Paolozzi's statue of Newton outside the British Library. It is an homage to Blake's portrait of Newton, which in turn referenced Blake's own artwork of Urizen. I walked past this at the exact moment an eerie podcast I was listening to referenced Urizen. It proper shit me up.
