Once again, speaking as a professional archaeologist: "English" is not an ethnicity in any meaningful sense. You only have to go back about 1,000 years before everyone in Europe has the same group of common genealogical ancestors. Humans have lived on the British Isles for almost a million years.

As a Brexiteer, he now lives in a place that has EU benefits such as customs union and Schengen, but avoids taxes which actually support others. He complains of too much immigration to UK while being immigrant to Monaco. How *nice*!

I seem to have reached an age where when I read a news article & it mentions someone’s age, in my head I think ‘well they’re quite old’… ….and then I realise that they are a few years younger or older than me. No doubt this will get worse!

Sorry, this is dumb/ahistorical. UK sanctions against South Africa 1985/86 were also largely "symbolic". But Thatcher had to be dragged kicking and screaming, and the apartheid regime devoted huge resources to stopping them - just as the Israeli govt is now. Symbols *really* matter here..
