Bemused Saturday shoppers and motorists watched on as the White Coppice cricket club took their victory bus through the streets of Chorley. Having nearly folded in 2017 it marked a turnaround of fortunes for the club which is now thriving. 🏏👏

Why must it always be about planting trees, when they managed just fine for 100s of millions of years before people came along? Just let them seed out. Yes, planting does have a role, but so often the underlying subtext is continued human domination of nature. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Happy Birthday to @AgathaChristie - born #otd (15th September) in 1890. 🎉 She said that she came up with her ingenious detective plots by sitting in an old-fashioned bathtub eating apples. It was a core part of her technique. She got the seed of an idea, then fleshed it out.
A black and white photograph of an old rolltop bath. Agatha Christie's head is poking out at one end and there are 3 half-eaten apples sitting on the rim of the bath

An AI flyer is a brown M&M test. If your event or business is cutting corners by using an AI flyer, where else are you cutting corners? What else are you cheating out on? Why should I be bothered to go somewhere you couldn't be bothered to promote with a little of your own personality?

This is shameful discriminatory and misogynistic reporting. People aren’t choosing disability to be “cool”. Young women don’t have to “prove” to you that they’re sick. Disability rates are skyrocketing because we’ve left a disabling virus rip through the population for over 6 years.

The Telegraph circa 1900.
The banner image from the telegraph article "Your child doesn't have special needs, they're just naughty". The image is a low shot of the bottom half of a school-age girl in uniform (using a girl is certainly a choice) implied to be waiting outside an office. Izzy has crudely doctored the image to read "Your child isn't really left-handed, they're just possessed by demons".
