I love spending time in my garden, mostly sitting reading or crocheting. I usually talk about food, books, Sheffield, making things, life in general.

This is so true... our main road is 30mph... but lots of cars & lorries go much faster... Today we were walking along the footpath... a wide load passed... travelling too close for comfort... & way too fast... & it was so scary seeing it wobble... near a narrow stretch of pavement in front of us...

I have just scrolled through 635 lamps on the John Lewis website... they had ONE that I actually liked... I then had a choice of 120 light bulbs in the right fitting... and it took ages to find one similar to the picture... I wish places had less choices to wade through...
Blue textured ceramic lamp, with a visible filament bulb. It's to go on the bookshelf in our dining room.

Universal basic income ensures that everyone has the ability to express basic demand for basic goods and services. This is market improving. Markets can't differentiate between 0 and Ø. A store can fail because not enough customers. But is that because they didn't like it or they did but were broke?

I cremated a pan at the weekend... turning the hob up to 9... instead of down to 5... 🤦🏼‍♀️ and walking away for 5 minutes... old fashioned washing powder hadn't worked it's magic after 72 hours... so I tried half an hour of boiling 50:50 vinegar & water... and a short scrub... and it's clean... ✨️🍛

One of our friends gave me this plant a few weeks ago... it gets baby plants along it's leaves... occasionally one falls off... I have been putting them on the surface of the compost in another pot... and it looks like they are starting to grow... 💚🌱🪴
