A 7 panel comic by the artist. First panel: The artist is running from a distance towards a group of people playing basketball in the park. The artist is holding a pumpkin above their head and screaming "AAAAAAAAA". Second panel: The artist has leapt up and is in position to slam dunk the pumpkin into the basketball hoop. Panel three: the pumpkin splatters violently against the backboard of the basketball hoop, sending orange pumpkin goop everywhere. Panel four: the players stand staring, covered in pumpkin goop and shocked. Panel five: the artist stares at them wide-eyed, also covered in the goop and says "it's October FIRST". Their hand reaches towards their face. Panel six: the artist rips off their own face like a rubber mask to reveal a skeleton beneath. Panel 7: the group of players stand shocked and horrified, watching as the skeleton falls to the ground in a pile of bones, the sound effects says "CLATTER".

I read this book when it came out and HIGHLY recommend if you want to understand what's going on in America right now (along with his other book Culture Warlords). It's a very beautifully written book on a very dark subject. $3 is a steal!

There was a small video store that happened to be next to the only restaurant that would deliver food to our house. You could call and tell them you were ordering food and wanted a movie; the delivery guy would bring both. I am still bitter about the building being torn down for a new development.

But also feminism is not a thing that happened and then got reversed; it's a thing that is happening, because you don't overturn three millennia of patriarchy in one lifetime.

It seems like a large part of the medical community - and the general public - wants long covid to be a psychological condition, partially because they don’t like medical conditions they can’t solve, and partially because they’d prefer if they could just blame us for being nuts.

Seattle is a very racist city, and one way it manifests is when white people choose to take a specific *political* faction at their word when they claim to represent an entire, monolithically aligned racial group—typically because they agree with that faction's political views.

the fucking insane thing is that we also aren't even getting anything out of it. If we'd doubled the national debt to build trains at least we'd have a bunch of trains. If the economy collapsed, the trains would still be there! Now if everything goes to shit what did we even get?

Seattle's AQI didn't get quite that high but I also had a mental breakdown. We didn't have AC, it got so hot and humid in our apartment it felt like a swamp, but the outside air was unbreathable. And there were constant helicopters circling our neighborhood because of CHOP. Complete misery!!!!

Panel 2: momo behind his table. There’s a coffee pot and a pink cup of coffee on it. Text reads “pour myself a little coffee”

Panel 3: he’s in a chair behind the table with an opened laptop and a glass of water. It says “check my little emails”

Panel 4: we see he left his house. Door still a little bit open. Text: “ignore them a little bit” as momo gleefully goes to play outside rather than answering his work duties

These guys aren’t sexist because they’re secretly gay; they’re misogynists because it’s perfectly possible to have sex with women and also hate them. That’s the central problem of heterosexuality, actually.
