As a former pretentious little shit who grew out of it, rationalists (et al) annoy the piss out of me because they are adults with the mentality of tweens - they are somehow still convinced they are the greatest geniuses who have ever walked the earth. It is the worldview of an arrogant baby.

Calling it something like "Yemen's government in exile" would be more accurate. But to be honest, "Saudi-backed militias in Yemen's civil war" would be more descriptive.

That's not possible. In 2025, the smartest person in history took complete control of federal government IT and his "DOGE" modernized and secured everything. Right? Surely that wasn't just a data heist by a billionaire white nationalist and a bunch of 20-year-old freaks from neo-Nazi chatrooms?

The real legacy of 9/11 is what we see happening in the US right now. Organizations purportedly formed to combat terrorism are being used by a demented sociopathic president to terrorize the citizens of the US, and turn the nation into a white supremacist dictatorship.

The thing is, the voter - even the conservative voter - has been presented with the choice of people with proven character...and they did not pick them. They preferred the charlatan huckster who they knew was such. And there is nothing you can do to protect the People from their own lack of virtue.

I give you a photo of a Cybertruck crushing a no parking cone taken in the reflective windows of Pete Hegseth’s Christian nationalist Church next to the newly opened Jersey Mikes on Pennsylvania Avenue
A mirrored door and front window in a storefront. In the window you can see a cybertruck that has crushed an orange construction cone. You can see a construction barrier reflected in the door that shows a slightly different angle

Birthdate and name matches are causing US Citizens to get arrested in error by ICE as they board airplanes. This is the same level of rigor they're bringing to claims of fraudulent voting, and is obvious as an error-prone method to anyone who has taken an introductory stats class.

An embarrassing result for Nolan.

People think of revolution as a thing that the oppressed collective do from the bottom up because it generally looks like that historically. But when power does revolution it looks like taking over our institutions & shattering them from within or repurposing them, as they have done & are doing.

📌Susan Collins is voting "no" on the repulsive Blanche because she has been given political cover by Thune. Her vote doesn't matter. This isn't a heroic decision, it is pure politics, and whether anybody wants to admit it or not it's how she has survived like a parasite in that chamber for 30 years.

Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.

So $SPCX swallowing $TSLA is absolutely happening. www.wsj.com/business/aut...
Elon Musk designed Tesla's [TSLA 353% 1 China business to be easily separated from its U.S. business because of geopolitical tensions. It might also come in handy if he
proceeds with a Space SPCX 0.31% merger.
Musk in recent years instructed Tesla executives to organize the company with a "laser" between its U.S. and China businesses, according to people familiar with the planning. He wanted to ensure that in the event of geopolitical strife between the two countries, at least the U.S. half of Tesla would survive.
Now, some Tesla executives have been told to prepare for a separation of the China business ahead of a potential merger, a person familiar with those talks said.
And Tesla advisers have discussed possible options for a separation, including a spinoff, sale or closure, another person said.Musk was particularly concerned about Tesla's dependence on China for battery cells and feared its access to semiconductors could be jeopardized if Beijing invaded Taiwan, the people familiar with the planning said. The goal was to be ready for 2026 or 2027 in anticipation of a war, they said.
Separating Tesla's China operations-including an electric-vehicle factory there-would address potential conflicts arising from SpaceX's work as a major U.S. defense contractor. Such a deal would aim to create a firewall between Tesla's Chinese subsidiary and its U.S.
business.
SpaceX faces significant restrictions due to its dealings with the U.S. government. The company is a major national-security defense contractor, with business lines that include launching top-secret satellites and operating internet services in war zones like Ukraine.
