I liked Churanoumi at 33 doing the best sumo of his career at the highest rank he's ever reached, and doing well enough he's headed for the Sanyaku. I liked Fujinokawa squaring up to much bigger guys at his highest ever rank too, and taking names Tamawashi.

As exciting as Fujinokawa is, I'm struggling to really root for him. Maybe it's the proclivity to false start. Seeing Ura with double digit wins is fantastic. I'd started to wonder if we were seeing his slide towards retirement. Churanoumi looked great, too!

I liked that the last match on the last day turned out to be for the whole entire tournament. I thought I wanted Aonishiki to win because of the excitement of a Yokozuna run, but then Onosato cried at the anthem and I realised he's probably been under hell of a stress so this is a good ending too
