Absolutely grotesque how the media that supported this wistfully laments as if this was some hidden atrocity they have only just discovered and not a thing that not only is still happening right now but they were consciously aware of as they reported on it favorably for decades

A fair question: How did humanity allow Gaza to happen? And the answer is not just about Israel, but also about the role of the US in particular in providing the 2,000-pound bombs and diplomatic support that resulted in this. Democrats and Republicans alike bear responsibility.

I am of course a deeply cynical person but even I am awestruck by the Missouri GOP’s collective hissy fit today that effectively boils down to “it is VERY unfair to the PEOPLE that we were repeatedly told not to violate the constitution and they actually MADE us”

It is disappointing that today’s decision by the United States Supreme Court means Missouri will conduct its November general election under a different congressional map than its primary election.

Voters deserved consistency and certainty, and not for the rules to be changed between elections.

Nevertheless, Missouri will follow the Court’s order.

“The Supreme Court of Missouri ruled that the votes of 1.2 million Missouri voters in the primary didn't count, as those voters are now in a different district and didn't have an opportunity to vote for who appears on their ballot this fall. The most annoying part of this discourse is how regardless of whether or not you agree with it, the person who directly and lucidly addressed this difference was Mamdani himself, who consistently notes with complete transparency what his discussions with Trump yields for his constituents.

I dunno man, it’s not like he’s just a regular old normal president. I get that everyone is invested in Mamdani being perfect, but that press conference was pretty gross. Liz Cheney made it her life’s mission to ensure that Trump wasn’t normalized. She went down swinging.
