This is the first time I think that Sound Transit has actually shown a rendering of the infamous "trapezoidal" light rail station at Seattle Center that is expected to be $470 million cheaper than a simple box station, thanks to elimination of a mined section of tunnel.

I just connected the dots that the word "ferret” is derived from the Latin word furittus meaning "little thief" and that a group of ferrets is called a “business” and I am absolutely pleased with this new understanding. Not only do robot cars like Waymo not take cars off the road (they just change ownership of the cars that are on the road), but they park like the most obnoxious person you know. #Waymo #selfDriving #badParking #cars #carBrain #transit
A Waymo robot car is parked incorrectly, using two spaces instead of one despite each parking space being very large

My broader point with my opposition to Waymos is that even if they are individually "safer than a human driver," they will entrench all negatives of car-prioritized society to a degree that is harder to deal with and causes more harm in the long run vs non-Waymo urbanism.

Wow guys I continue to be correct that Waymo and other robotaxis are inherently anti-urbanist, that they will exacerbate many of the problems presented by cars in our city, that they're an enemy to public transit, and that self-proclaimed urbanists are wrong to support them.
