There is no constitutional protection against being called a bigot and there should not be. Your liberty is not impinged upon because you might be made to hear criticism of you for having a problem with others having equal rights. What Alito wants is legal protection from growing a conscience.

the problem is that for the Supreme Court to be considered validly supreme, the justices on that court need to consistently be able to validate that their legal opinions are not some of the dumbest grievance-posting garbage you can consistently pull from the dumbest corners of Facebook comments.
