This will never stop blowing my mind. A 12-year sequence of real telescope images of a star 133 lightyears away. And around it, four planets slowly orbiting. Four real exoplanets, each more massive than Jupiter, imaged as they move around their host star.

The metaphor I use is machinists. The role absolutely stilll exists but most are CNC operators now. They still need manual skills, but they also need to know how to drive and debug the automation, often multiple machines concurrently.

Anything discoverable by a stand-alone machine inherently should not be patentable. If no insight is required by humans then it's just a race to spend the most CPU power to discover what anybody could've discovered.

Hi Tobias,

I recently came across your profile and thought your humanities background could be a great fit for an opportunity we’re hiring for at SpaceXAI [https://x.ai/].

We’re currently looking for an AI Tutor – Humanities Specialist to help train and improve Grok. You’ll evaluate model outputs across areas like linguistics, history, classical studies, literature, poetry, philosophy, ethics, and the visual or performing arts, while identifying factual errors, flawed reasoning, anachronisms, weak sourcing, and claims that go beyond the available evidence. You’ll also create high-quality reference answers and training data grounded in primary sources, clearly distinguishing evidence from interpretation and speculation.
