WipEout was released 31 years ago. Since the game is set in 2052, we're already more than halfway there. 😁 A technical gem, this Psygnosis game made a huge splash on the PS1 (and other platforms). Especially with its electro soundtrack and in-game branding & artworks by The Designers Republic.

Futurama “A lot of the animators’ work in those situations is just sort of to tone down the CG, so we don’t really notice. The ship and buildings are prime examples of that, where those usually are in our CG, but they color them flat and get the outlines on there. So it’s blended in very nicely.”

I showed Godzilla Minus One to my family—and it was a huge hit. It took me months to convince them because of the US Godzilla movies. 😅 It’s truly one of my fav genre films of the decade. The way it blends kaiju, a heartfelt human story, and powerful themes—all on a shoestring budget—is fantastic.
