Highly recommend. The jaw dropper moment for me was when a speaker talked about how Canada is seen as a fresh new market of customers for privatized healthcare because so many Americans can’t afford it anymore. In other words, parasites looking for their next host.

Somehow, despite never submitting any of the paperwork they sent me—not the background check or identification info, not the domestic violence affidavit, none of it—ICE had apparently offered me a job.

According to the application portal, my pre-employment activities remained pending. And yet, it also showed that I had accepted a final job offer and that my onboarding status was “EOD”—Entered On Duty, the start of an enlistment period. I moused over the exclamation mark next to “Onboarding” and a helpful pop-up appeared. “Your EOD has occurred. Welcome to ICE!”

I clicked through to my application tracking page. They’d sent my final offer on Sept. 30, it said, and I had allegedly accepted. “Welcome to Ice. … Your duty location is New York, New York. Your EOD was on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025.”

By all appearances, I was a deportation officer. Without a single signature on agency paperwork, ICE had officially hired me.

I remember the phrase "they can't be allowed to melt back into society" re: the de-Baathification of Iraq after the war there. Like everything about that experience, the attempt was cynical, stupid, and botched. But there really should be a plan about what we do with guys like these in the future.

The earliest example I've found of the idea that the Great Pyramid was a power generator was published by George Van Tassel (the guy who first allegedly contacted Ashtar) in the February 1, 1954 issue of his Proceedings of the College of Universal Wisdom.

The other night I was driving in pouring rain, fully dark, and the car randomly lost GPS.
No location. No navigation.
Which also meant no FSD.
I tried two software resets while driving just to get GPS back. Nothing worked. So there I was, manually driving in terrible conditions, unsure of positioning, no assistance, no guidance.
And it genuinely felt unsafe. For me and for the people in the car.
Then it hit me.
This feeling - the stress, the uncertainty, the margin for error - this is how most drivers feel every single day.
No FSD. No constant awareness. No backup.
We've normalised danger so much that we only notice it when the safety net disappears.

So true. I couldn't imagine trying to figure things out myself anymore
I feel it every time I have to take over to take a separate entrance or find an area different from the exact pin at a destination. 12.6.4 does 98% of my driving but that last 2% is tough
I couldn't imagine also being without GPS
