Onto land use matters. 3075 Douglas St rezoning and development permit with variances application to allow increased density for a 22-storey mixed-use rental and commercial building. Staff recommend approve. This would be developed my M'akola. The renderings are beautiful.
Architectural rendering of a tall residential tower at a major urban intersection. The slender high-rise features a light-colored façade with vertical window bands and a large decorative ribbon-like pattern running up one side of the building. A multi-storey podium with retail or commercial space lines the street, accented by a sculptural canopy at the corner entrance. Cars, cyclists, and pedestrians are shown at street level, with traffic lights and a visible “Finlayson St” street sign. The tower rises against a blue sky with scattered clouds, emphasizing its height relative to surrounding low-rise buildings.

Can’t imagine a more obvious hint a snap provincial election is coming: a government making some sort of people-pleasing announcement that is nevertheless wildly out of touch with what British Columbians actually need. Housing. Wealth tax. No PWD spousal clawbacks. A safe supply. Voluntary care. 🤦🏻‍♀️
