Damn I am tired of people laughing about Deutsche Bahn. Travel in many other places in Europe and you will discover Germany is trying to do many things right with its railways. A quick blog post / rant from me: jonworth.eu/your-deutsche-… #CrossBorderRail

Your Deutsche Bahn "joke" is no longer funny (if it ever was)
Before attempting my record attempt between Kemijärvi, Finland and Lagos, Portugal, people told me over and over it would break down in Germany. So much so that I even tried to re-but (pre-but?) some of the likely critique. Now, having made the trip, and none of the total

When we were returning home to Scotland after living overseas for 10 years, we HAD to tick the box saying we were immigrants - even though we are Scottish. I phoned the Home Office helpline and was told we were, indeed, now classed as immigrants despite the fact we were coming home.

While we are in this Greek Mythology moment, may I remind you that Emma Thompson is adapting Pat Barker’s take on The Iliad, and she’s struggled to get it made bc the focus on what acts of war against women and survival thereafter actually look like (the core of Barker’s narrative) is too intense.

Last #caturday with these lovely menaces at least for a while. Been a long sit and I will miss them
Old brown and white cat with very pink nose sits curled up with his tail around him but his head held up. His eyes are closed and he looks relaxed. He is sitting on a plump white woman but only her light blue jumper and fingers of their white hand supporting his position are visible.A large black and white cat is sprawled
across white bedsheets mostly lying in the sun. His large white stomach is exposed. His black tail extends into the shade. His head is up as though either looking through the window or pausing mid washing. His legs are all at the sides making him as wide as possible but also looking very relaxed.
