Good idea, and good news! (That I've been saying should have happened a decade ago - every school, council office, community sports centre, hospital... everything the tax payer pays the electricity bill for, should have solar WAY before domestic residences...)

If we have the ability to do this, we have the ability to eliminate fossil fuel use within a decade. That we used that ability to create AI slop is the ultimate irony of the demise of the human race. We had the tools. And then we went and massively increased energy (and water) demands... #AInt

If Andy Burnham wants to help lower energy prices in the UK, has he considered NOT allowing a shit-ton of energy-hungry data centres to be built? Reduced demand = lower prices. (As does increased supply - but it has to be green otherwise we're just wallowing in waste.)

Neither of the stupidly rich crypto-bros slinging multiple millions at Reform are UK residents. One lives in Thailand, one in Hong Kong. That would seem to be a simple tweak to political donation law - got to be a UK resident paying UK tax. Otherwise, isn't it just "foreign influence"?

Much as I loathe the thuggish, intimidating behaviour of the anti-immigration idiots, the idea that wearing a mask is itself a crime seems suspect and dangerous. Laws created to stop actions that are in themselves not criminal - criminalising protest - are overbearing and totalitarian.

Ben Delo is a money launderer (pleaded guilty in 2022). I'm not sure how, exactly, he expects to get his £36 million (with interest) back from Reform, a minority political party with only 8 MPs (half of whom haven't won an election as Reform) but you can bet your crypto-dollar he thinks he will.

World Trade Centre, January 2001. The flags of the world glimpsed through the windows of the lobby. What I remember from 9/11 was how desperate people were to help each other, and how little they could actually do. This isn't a uniquely American or New York response - it's a human response.

Pushing back against Israel's aggression does not put British Jews at risk. Israel's continued aggression does. If anything, pushing back makes the distinction - British Jews are NOT responsible for Israeli actions. (Whereas a complicit UK government would be.)
