So you'd very much expect a direct impact on Welsh GDP. But you'd also predict impacts on life-expectancy, poor health, addictive behaviours and many forms of crime. 111

In other words, in the past, apprenticeships pay off earlier but especially in engineering, degrees pay off more over the long term. No guarantees, of course. 041
