I visited Auschwitz about 10 years ago. I often think about what I saw and learnt there. It is haunting, moving, grim and like most people, you just leave in silence with your own thoughts. But yeah man, I guess the coffee shop needs to up it’s game.

This happened within sight of my house when I was nine. I wasn’t there - I was at school in London by then - but Penzance and Newlyn felt it for *decades*. The memorial garden on the cliffs is a hundred metres from where I scattered my parents’ ashes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penlee_...

4 panel comic

Panel 1:
A post from “kavishj9611” that reads:

“All the people who are anti-Al or want to slow Al progress, I have one question:
If Al disappeared tomorrow, could you still get through an entire workday without ChatGPT, Claude, or any other
Al tool?
Imagine Al was suddenly banned.
Would you actually be willing to give it up?”

Panel 2:
And Orange Guy and a Pink Guy are standing in a room that has two pipes in it. Both pipes are pumping raw sewage into the room. The characters are waist deep in it.
Orange Guy says smugly “Ok Mr “I don’t want to be in a room that’s filling up with raw sewage” let me ask you this”

Panel 3:
The sewage has reached their chests. Pink Guy is gagging. Orange Guy smugly continues “If all this sewage disappeared right now, could you get through the day without it?”

Panel 4:
The sewage is almost up to their eyeballs. Orange Guys says “Look at that shit floating past your face. Are you willing to give that up?”

Yes, that's how tax works. You pay for stuff you may never use - schools if you're childless, roads you may never travel down and so forth - because it's the right thing to do. Is there somebody who looks after you who can explain this to you?

Often get accused - along with others who work predominantly in Germany - of being overly defensive of the tenets of German ⚽️ that make it what it is, wider extension of community. But we can never take it for granted when bad actors acting in pure self interest abound.

No one notices the Quansah thing beyond it being a suspension for a reckless tackle if Balogun madness didn't happen. This is a mess of FIFA's making. Quansah is correctly suspended. Pandora's box is open, and Gianni's stinky phone call has now infected the whole game.
