I've said it before, and I've said it again: the Harry Potter books are terrific, especially when read aloud. They appeal to any child who is told they are special, and great things are expected of them, and yet they have no idea how to live up to that.
I heard the author died. Not sure. Too bad.

Also, there are complete sets of the books available at most garage sales, every library sale and a lot of antique/junk shops. Failing that, I recommend your local public library.

Further! One of the powerful messages of the books is inclusion. The villains are aristocratic racists who want to dominate "lesser" humans, and there are characters who are unfairly discriminated against because of their innate nature. I would recommend them are curatives to any form of bigotry.
