This is also just empirically untrue as a matter of reading consumption: women do, in fact, read books by men. It’s men who do not read books by women. I suspect the reason is not “biological.”

If something isn’t true, you have to let it go. If you’ve built in top of it, you have to tear down. It’s hard but it’s the only way to know what’s real.

I thought I'd have a lot to say about the Women's World Road Race Championship and the Demi Vollering-Kasia Niewiadoma rivalry, and little to say about the men's race. Then Brandon McNulty and Team USA delivered a perfect, gutsy victory on Sunday. I haven't felt this alive watching sports in years.

It’s actually discouraging how much of the discourse gets diverted to “AI good or AI bad” when the obvious and more pressing issue is “AI *companies* are definitely bad”

You can’t have it both ways. You can’t be “It’s simple math, vote blue no matter who, grow up” and ALSO believe you are fighting fascism by making calculations as to who’s expendable. The world we’re in now demands more from us. More from everyone.

Yo. This is the union calling for a boycott. Here in America people like to say "Well I was already boycotting Starbucks!" No you were not. You were just choosing not to buy their stuff. That is not a boycott. A boycott is an organized, collective activity. "I" don't boycott: we do.

One of the most important and powerful things art can do is not to reflect yourself back to you, especially as you'd like to see yourself, but to make you imagine someone whose life is very different from yours, whose values may be very different from yours, and to consider them as a full person.

NO ARRESTS, MANY SCOLDINGS IN CARRABBA'S FRACAS
Frustrated police urge restaurants to "knock this off."
By Adrian Victim
Police responded to a distress call last night after a 2019 Toyota Sienna crashed into a Giuliani Gardens Carrabba's, several minutes after two armed Bertucci's agents entered the establishment on "official business." Although the police refused to speak to reporters on site they were overheard speaking to several employees of both Carrabba's and Bertucci's and begging them to "please stop doing this 'every kitchen a castle' thing. People die."
Due to an unusual quirk in Giuliani Gardens law dating back to the late 19th century when potato baron Julius O'Tammany declared himself
"accountable only to the starches and butters which feed and delight my children and wives," all fast casual dining establishments within the city limits have been considered legally autonomous
"landsteading zones" answerable only to their corporate headquarters.
A police officer tries to touch our new camera. But it's not his. It's ours.
Most fast casual restaurants take advantage of this libertarian loophole in order to implement individualized policies in regards to shooting their patrons. Hooters is known for opening fire on any family dining together, an inversion on The Olive Garden's famous "when you're here, you're family" slogan, written in the blood of many a first date. When reached for comment, Carrabba's corporate insisted "we do not shoot our customers. We could. We really want to.
But we do not shoot them. That's the Carrabba's difference." Carrabba's founder Chris Carrabba also reached out to us: "I was also in Further Seems Forever. People forget that."
