Among Veterans with #MajorDepressiveDisorder, most received recommended care, including psychotherapy, antidepressant medication, and combination therapy. However, the percentage receiving no treatment has increased each year between 2011-2025. ja.ma/45Z1fqw
Line graph: Medication receipt percentages, 2011-2025, for 12 categories. SSRIs decrease from ~58% to ~44%, remaining highest. Other antidepressants stable ~30-35%. Benzodiazepines decline (25% to 15%). SNRIs, NDRIs, Psychostimulants increase. Psychotherapy only & MAO inhibitors are lowest.

A study in 1.4 million women expands knowledge on endometriosis and its biological complexity
Endometriosis, a chronic inflammatory disease that affects approximately one in ten women of reproductive age—around 190 million worldwide—remains poorly understood from a biological perspective, which has historically hindered both its accurate diagnosis and the development of effective treatments.

With sequencing of Hitler's DNA making headlines, time for a reminder: analysing a polygenic score from a dead historically-significant figure won't give new insights into that person's behaviour. In a brief paper last year, we used Beethoven's genome to directly illustrate the fallacies involved.🧪👇
