I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:
Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

The thundering lack of awareness. My gob, it is smacked.
Engaged in a flirtatious conversation at a bar in Manhattan, 23-year-old Gary stood with a Guinness in hand as he explained to a woman why he took an engineering job at Palantir, the data analytics company cofounded by Alex Karp and Peter Thiel. Raking in a $250,000 salary would allow him to help pay off his parents’ mounting medical bills, he explained.
Gary wasn’t met with sympathy. Medical debt, the woman told him, was “not an excuse to work somewhere like that.” She was referring, of course, to Palantir’s controversial work with governments, including the US and Israel, which use the company’s surveillance tools for law enforcement and military operations.Gary has resorted to saying he works in AI. “Even that gets some pretty bad responses sometimes,” he says. His Hinge profile doesn’t mention his employer. And sometimes he makes up stories out of thin air to justify working for Palantir—like that line about the medical debt. His parents don’t have any, nor are they ill.

This is the dodgiest and most-desperate thing I’ve seen in the bubble so far. Amazon selling their chips to a group of investors and leasing them back - an off balance sheet arrangement done in plain sight. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. And they’ll probably buy more!
Amazon is seeking to offload about $8bn of advanced Nvidia chips to external investors through a new vehicle aimed at strengthening its balance sheet, according to people familiar with the matter.
The Seattle-based cloud giant has held talks with investors in recent weeks to gauge interest in the deal, which would allow the company to spin off thousands of Grace Blackwell chips it is deploying in data centres across the US into a special-purpose vehicle.
Amazon will then lease the advanced AI chips back from the SPV, which would tap outside investors through debt issuance. By unloading the expensive semiconductors to investors, the company could adopt a more asset-light approach to its balance sheet.

When ICE announced Chaofeng Ge's death by suspected suicide last year, they didn't mention that he was found hanging with his hands and feet tied behind his back. The account in a mortality review ICE posted (& removed) this week also suggests a very different response than initially reported.
Ge was detained at the Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Philipsburg. He had been in ICE custody for five days and was awaiting a hearing before the Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review. MVPC staff discovered Ge hanging by the neck and unresponsive in the shower room of his detention pod at 5:21 a.m. They immediately lowered him to the ground, began CPR and contacted Phillipsburg Emergency Medical Services, the Pennsylvania State Police and the coroner’s office. On August 5, 2025, at 5:20 a.m., while conducting unit count, two detention officers (DOs) found Mr. GE, bound at the hands and feet, hanging in the handicap shower stall in C-Unit, pod 4. The DOs left the scene to inform the control officer, and the control officer called the medical emergency. Two medical staff members responded within four minutes, ordered Mr. GE's cut down from the shower stall, immediately initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), applied an automated external defibrillator (AED), and followed the prompts (no shock advised). At 5:31 a.m., custody staff called emergency medical services (EMS). At 5:44 a.m., EMS arrived and took over life saving measures; however, EMS staff were unable to resuscitate Mr. GE. At 6:03 a.m. a Clearfield County, PA, coroner pronounced Mr. GE deceased.

It still has no idea where immigration court for the detained docked is held in Chicago.

Where is the detained docket immigration court in Chicago?
Chicago Immigration Court
The Executive Office for Immigration Review
(EOIR) lists the Chicago Immigration Court at:
• 55 E. Monroe St., Suite 1500, Chicago,
IL 60603
• You can also enter via E. Adams St.
• Public hours: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday-Friday (except federal holidays)
• Phone: & 312-220-0965

EOR's operational-status page currently shows Monroe Street: OPEN and Clark Street: OPEN for Chicago, but the court's own page only publishes the Monroe Street address. I could not verify a separate public street address for a "Clark Street" or "detained docket" courtroom from those official pages.
Source: Immigration Court Operational Status

Detained cases
EOIR's administrative-control list refers to Chicago (Detained) as part of the Chicago Immigration Court, covering people held at ICE/DHS facilities in the region. Hearings for detained cases are scheduled on the notice from the court; they are not always at a separate public
"detained court" building.

Is the Chicago detained docket courthouse in the same building as the Chicago ICE field office?
No. Official listings put them at different addresses.
• Chicago Immigration Court (EOIR): 55 E.
Monroe St., Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60603.
EOIR also lists a Clark Street location as open. Confirm the hearing site on your notice. Chicago Immigration Court a • Court operational status 7
