'Piggy bank is empty' nonsense provides cover for the political class. Once the lie is exposed, they have to answer questions like 'If we have 100,000s of people wanting work, and plenty of raw materials, why is our infrastructure falling to bits? Sounds like mismanagement, ay? (It is!)

The princess took an earring off and held it out. The raven looked at it. "Whatever for?" "You are wise and clever. Many princesses have dragons, but none has a raven friend." The raven picked up the earring. "Say no more." "Friends?" she asked when it returned the next day. "Forevermore."

Sold 50 of these bad bois overnight, so uh, yeah, it's popping off. I actually do have a cap on the number that can be sold in certain sizes due to warehouse inventory of blanks, so if you're after a 4/5XL, I'd hustle your bustle.

So these were taken on my walk to work, from an inner suburb to the city fringe (Karori to Kelburn, for locals). I grew up in the area, and I absolutely would never have seen these birds in people's front yards 30 years ago. Wellington & its people made a choice to bring them back & we succeeded.
