Both-siderism is just fascist propaganda for surrender. Fight for every inch. Primaries, locals and general. Quitting is why the US slides right and HOLY SHIT y'all are determined to quit before the fight even begins.

Since PTSD is being invoked to excuse any and all abuse and misconduct, let us acknowledge where it is most common. .... From my book Recollections of My Nonexistence.
The former Marine David J. Morris, author of a book on post-
traumatic stress disorder, notes that the disorder is far more com-
mon and far more rarely addressed among rape survivors than
combat veterans. He wrote me, “The science on the subject is pretty
clear: according to the New England Journal of Medicine, rape is about
four times more likely to result in diagnosable PTSD than combat.
Think about that for a moment— being raped is four times more psy-
chologically disturbing than going off to a war and being shot at and
blown up. And because there are currently no enduring cultural nar-
ratives that allow women to look upon their survival as somehow he-
roic or honorable, the potential for enduring damage is even greater.”

A story I love about Anthony Stewart Head. Thank you to this person for sharing it on Tumblr. What a mensch.
A photo of Tony Head with a fan, standing in a barn near a horse. Tumblr post from dracofidus: If you EVER think Anthony Head is anything less than an angel then you'd best remember that I have always been a huge fan of his and we've always had a little contact over the years and he heard I'd come out as Trans and was having a hard time and that I was kind of sad that the photos I had from conventions with him were of me with long hair and no binder and they were all signed to "Sarah" and so he invited me to spend the day with him at his farm and he picked me up from the station and we just hung out and had lunch and he insisted on paying and look loads of photos and had them printed on photo paper the same day so he could sign them to Jay, along with other photos of him as Giles and Utger and he literally spent five hours chatting with me and got all the pronoun stuff right every time and then he dropped me off at the station, gave me a massive hug. Waved me through the ticket barrier and insisted I message him when I got home so he knew I was back safe.

One of these inexpressible phenomena tied to loss (and there are hundreds that no one person could hope to coherently catalogue) is the way the person you’ve lost is fixed in amber for all time the way they were when they died, but the ghost in their place is changing every second of every day. There are a thousand different Carolines who have lived by my side and given me counsel in the last ten years, all of them as true and real as every other and all of them ungraspable even by other people who loved her, much as their own thousand Carolines could never be understood or felt by me.

The need to hold onto a person from beyond the veil is one of the oldest recorded human longings. We’ve been doing it practically since we realized we could lose people, and one of the seemingly clearest signs that other animals have some consciousness at least adjacent to our own is their own approximations of the same behavior. I knew Caroline, and lost her, in a time when I was something of

The problem is that “I am often scared and angry about social change” does not inherently lend itself to interesting art. You can be as technically skilled as the greats, but art with nothing interesting to say is just a commodity.
Matt Walsh post on X: “Imagine if conservatives, rather than pathetically crawling around on the ground to lap up discarded pop culture crumbs, actually went out and advanced their own creative and artistic vision. Imagine if we used an event like this to actually elevate our own artists and make them famous. What a crazy thought.”

The Care and Feeding of your PET ROCK (1975)
The Care and Feeding of your PET ROCK

Pet Rock care manual, 1975Attack Training.

A rock is a loyal, devoted pet that can easily be trained to protect you and your family. Woe be to the burglar or prowler who ventures into the home guarded by a PET ROCK-or the mugger who attempts to accost a PET ROCK's master.

There are two basic attack methods to teach your PET ROCK.
1.) Long Distance Attacks
2.) Close Range AttacksLong Distance Attacks.

In those instances when your adversary is at a distance (such as when a bully kicks sand in your face on the beach and keeps on running), your PET ROCK will respond to the challenge instantly and effectively in assuring that it never happens again.

First, wipe the sand from your eyes.

Next, pick-up your PET ROCK.

Shout the command, ATTACK!, and throw your rock at the bully with all your might. This method of protection is sure-fire and results are guaranteed, although you may want to practice your aim before attempting this maneuver.

Close Range Attacks.
If you are threatened at close range always use the Close Range Attack Method; it is the ultimate form of personal protection. The element of surprise enters into this attack method, thereby making it doubly effective.

A pet rock poised for the attack.

The Squamish people of what is now Vancouver were illegally dispossessed of their land 100 years ago. They sued, got the land back, and used their sovereignty to ignore local zoning and build 6,000 new homes over the loud objections of nearby wealthy NIMBYs. Now other tribes are getting in the game.
