I think we took something of a 'wrong turn' as a society when we made our intellectual ideal the young 'best and brightest' and put all of the value on *intelligence* as an inborn trait rather than on *learning* as an earned value. Learning is, frankly, far more important.

So it used to be that the big pu'er factories would make their teas and then they'd have to be aged at least 10 or 15 years into get to a drinkable state. Then these little boutique operations started making cakes blended to be drunk young and people started buying those, because they're impatient.
