This is a country where young women have fewer legal rights than their mothers did, and where MeToo was opposed by male backlash from the highest levels of power and influence. And still some wonder why the young women of America feel disillusioned. This is a moment crying out for woke revanchism.

Rape culture operates as a mob phenomenon in which participants protect their own even if they were not themselves involved. I don't think it would be sufficient to limit the wrath of the state and civilised society only to the direct perpetrators. Thousands must learn to fear again. Millions, even.

What anti-MeToo pundits don't accept is that freedom requires order, and that this is also true of sex. It's not enough to tear down the old patriarchal sexual norms and leave a vacuum. You have to establish a new ethic of consent. MeToo is nothing less than the completion of the sexual revolution.

Guy who takes the woke cosmopolitan position on everything, but in the language of palingenetic ultranationalism "I can't vote for the GOP, they reject struggle and novelty. Their program is degenerate. I support AOC; she can channel the passions of the people into realising national destiny."

I think something that is sort of clear is that some people only regard racism as bad because they've been taught to regard it as bad and not because they actually conceptually understand why it is bad on any level

Just watched No Other Land; it was good, I recommend watching it if you can get it. No real rehearsed thoughts at the moment, but god, what a stain it is on all those governments who continue to support and sustain the occupation. Unironically, drone strike settler raiders.

I was a fan of the Legend of Korra, but did anyone else find it kind of strange when Bolin just said this out of the blue?
I had an argument with a friend: He insisted that Earthers were only really safe in the Earth Empire among fellow Earthers. I pointed out the absurdity of this since Earthers were quite evidently not particularly safe in the Earth Empire. Then he shifted: “Well, at least if you died there, you’d die amongst your brothers.” This is what I mean about nationalism being a doctrine of despair: ultimately, when you pull back the layers, nationalism is about desiring death, death for others and death for yourself. A warm, comfortable death for you, and a violent, cold, and terrible death for the other guy. It choses being subsumed in a mass to avoid the terrible difficulty of remaining human that rises to the fore in tragic moments like this one. When I die, I hope it will be here in Republic City, the promised land, surrounded by my brothers: all the different peoples of the world.

It's gender, but it's also that a lot of centrist elites have internalised a kind of vulgar egalitarianism, where it's virtuous to be more in touch with the common people by sharing their opinions. And of course, the common people are supposedly reactionary.

Kinda crazy that effective altruism basically just started out as "we should buy mosquito nets for the global poor" and then you got a bunch of people who split off into a position which is an exact moral reversal of the original thing, and yet still call themselves by the same name

I'd spent the period leading up to election day steeling myself for the worst and thinking about how I'd respond if we lost. Settled on 'unabashedly revanchist liberalism' a few weeks before. Thought about it in quite some detail. So when it came, I was actually surprisingly calm about it

ofcourse, like any rational human being i'm opposed to terrorism. but if we are to seriously look into the question of violence, one must not be automaticaly opposed to any form of it, and even a person who objects to violence must agree that there can be a terrorist act that can *reduce* the amount of violence in the world.

now, ok, take a deep breath. slam your heads at the wall if you must, but the fact being is that 30,000,000 (thirty million) people die each year of famine. thirty million. slavery, starvation, war, all funded by the darker side of 'globalism'.

Going to create "fascism is the cultural liberalism of fools" theory People get frustrated when centrist politicians refuse to deliver on trans rights and open borders, and so out of disillusionment with the establishment, they turn to people like Donald Trump and Nigel Farage

There's been an increasing trend of reactionaries with imperial ambitions cynically using the language of decolonisation to support those ambitions and those of others. Israel, Argentina, Morocco, even the US when you look at how Claremont talks about Canada and Greenland. Hindu nationalists too

Terrible timing to say this given the days event's, but I don't think Germany is any more susceptible to fascism than any other European country. There is nothing in present German culture that makes it so. If anything I think France and Britain are in bigger trouble.

Unfortunately a lot of centrist public intellectuals seem to privately subscribe to race 'science'. Was listening to an audiobook of The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt and he definitely believes in personality differences between the sexes but also seemed to imply it for the races as well

Can't stop thinking about how we as a civilisation will always be teetering on the edge of destruction. The climate crisis and nuclear weapons are only the first challenges. As scientific progress grows our power, it grows the risks as well. The state must grow to meet them, and so must the people.

I know I 'joke' about being a woke reactionary, but I really think it's the right attitude for a lot of things in the present moment. Young American women today have fewer legal rights than their mothers. Black people have fewer voting rights. How can we respond, if not with revanchist spirit?

Policymakers must understand that there are no perfect options for the manosphere. Instead of waiting forever for our ideal group to emerge, we must be willing to engage pragmatically with the world as it exists to achieve the best outcome for young men. We must support the moderate looksmaxxers.

I actually wrote an article about the necessity of spectacle to advance our agenda, but I have to disagree here. Better to radiate cold decisiveness rather than gratuitous sadism. The latter will backfire just like the thing it imitates. We want our enemies despairing and listless, not enraged.

Okay this might sound bad but is it dispositionally fascist of me to find the kind of total commitment seen in WWII America appealing? Doesn't need to be total war, just needs to be total something, with the something being righteous. We should do it more. Total YIMBY, total vaccination, total woke.
