I got lost FREQUENTLY and was much more wary of going places I was not familiar with. You could get directions to places but they were often incomplete or confusing, and if you messed up it might be ages before you knew. Yes I had paper maps but they were unwieldy and terrible.

I understand that, journalistically, there are reasons one might not use certain accurate terms, to avoid “bias.” But don’t use inaccurate terms, either. ICE actions are not “immigration enforcement” or “crackdowns.” Removing someone from the US without due process is, literally, not “deportation.”
