No author has told on herself like the one in this short story: the character is acting like she's a SAINT because she's stopped to help a little old lady who was knocked over. She spent two paragraphs debating herself about whether to stop and help. It's the most American thing I've ever read.

Especially enjoyed the person insisting that the 'moronic' developers had added a bug to increase wolf numbers in the starter area. I played that part like a week ago and there were loads of wolves before the remaster. Do they think a dev fell asleep on the 'add wolf' button?!

I do feel for those whose game is seriously not working but so many are upset that Geralt's eyes aren't as sparkly as they imagined or the graphics arent life-changing (they are very nice but I don't particularly notice that stuff)

Gamers never change. Went to reddit to see is there was a solution to a sound level bug on the (massive FREE) Witcher remaster. The game is otherwise playing perfectly for me and the sound thing can be easily worked around. Walked in to find it like this...

The DLC is a very different beast to the main game. Well worth doing. Johnny will grow on you if you do his late game quests but like other RPGs a lot of the fun is avoiding doing the big story stuff in favour of whatever makes it fun for you.

Aaaaaand done! Feel like there's a lot of game I missed (normal for an interactive story) so will be worth a revisit one day when I'm feeling Autumnal. It's a game that speaks to millennials on a fundamental level so I loved it. Really glad I used this free gaming week to finish it.

Made some excellent progress tonight and think I'll finish over the weekend. It does a remarkable job of building your curiosity and care like boiling a frog in water. I was so invested at one point that I chose the nasty dialogue option in the midst of a heated, emotional fight. I never do that.
