there was a 1936 proposal to build a concrete ramp structure up to the midpoint of the eiffel tower so you could drive up it. and i, for one, think it’s a shame that there was never a trend of making world monuments more car-accessible.

The Eiffel Tower with an illustrated concrete arc structure built across its middle. Each side has corkscrew ramps and you can see little cars driving on it.

i’ve spent too many infuriating hours trying to get computers to do the things they are supposed to do to believe that they deserve to be “treated with dignity”

also, just treat the computer with dignity and don't be a jerk to it and stop looking for justifications to practice abusive behaviors towards any part of the universe; it's not hard, and being a decent person who doesn't emotionally pollute the world doesn't necessitate solving that problem
